Katie SwingsPerformance Enhancement - Each athlete receives an individual evaluation and treatment plan to develop and implement an individual training program aimed at improving specific mental skills.  When appropriate, there may be collaboration of family members and coaches.  An athlete's training can include relaxation training, imagery and visualization techniques, self-talk, biofeedback and focus training, and goal setting. 

Adjustment for Life Stressors - At any time athletes, family members and staff may experience stress that generates emotional, behavioral or relationship difficulties.  These problems may or may not be related to sports participation.  Adjustment issues can include: coping with injury and return to sport, time management, substance abuse concerns, eating disorder issues, relationship stress,  and college and career transitions.

 

Virginia TrainingMental Training Workshops - Group educational programs are available for athletes, families, coaches, or sports teams.  These workshops can take place at our office location or on-site.

 

 

Lauren VaultsVisualization and Meditation Skills to Speed Sport Injury Recovery - Each athlete will participate in the development of their own visualization practice to focus on a healthy and swift return to sport.

 

Mental Training for Professionals and Performers - Persons in the pursuit of excellence can benefit from learning the same mental tools athletes use.  Professional licensing exams, courtroom testimony, public speaking, actors and musicians are example of professionals using mental training to enhance excellence and further enjoyment.
